ELLSMERE RD. TO TOMIKO LAKE (CRYSTAL FALLS)
The
ride from Ellsmere Rd.
to Tomiko Lake, which is in Crystal Falls,
is just North of the Burn (see next page).
After crossing over the bridge at the end of Ellsmere Rd. you’ll come to a fork in
the road. Stick left and you’re on
the skidoo trail. Now all you need
to do is just stick right though out the rest of the trail or you’ll end up
trying to cross through the culvert shown on the next page; which is not a
good idea traveling Westward as you will probably get stuck.
The
trail starts off smoothly but then after a little while becomes pretty
rocky so you’re better off in low-range.
Drive a little bit further and then the road begins to get washed
out severely in many places, so you must maneuver very carefully around the
holes and wash-outs or you could possible get stuck or worst, flip your
vehicle over.
Finally, you’ll know you’re near Tomiko Lake
and at the end of the trail when you pass through the following stream
shown below.
